Let’s start with the Acceleration Board, which is a visual representation of your organisation. Each team bubble does not only show an average of Most Important Goal fulfilment, but also to what extent teams are conducting the Key Activities that they have identified as critical in order to reach their Most Important Goals.

So take some time to analyse how teams are doing in Howwe, and approach them if you feel that they could do better. Showing a genuine interest in teams goes a long way in creating motivation to conduct Key Activities as planned!

For instance, if you’re a division head or business unit leader, you’re trying to understand the performance of a team further down in your division, for which you are also responsible. But of course you can also use the insights from this video to analyse your own team.

Alignment and Active Teams are both views that are designed to give a high level overviews.

Alignment allows you to view the top prioritizations for your company, meaning how the Most Important Goals are related and how they are performing.

The Active Teams tab shows which teams are conducting their Acceleration Meetings and which are not. The Acceleration Meeting is the heart in Howwes method, it is the motor that helps teams continue to focus on the execution of their plans.

The views we have looked at so far have been focused around team performance. The initiative overview pages take a slightly different perspective as they answer the question how company initiatives are doing, regardless of which teams are contributing.

The three most important aspects to keep an eye on for the initiative owner are

1. Is there a plan, meaning have all relevant teams contributed their plans in Howwe?

2. Is the plan of good quality?

3. Is the plan being executed as intended?

By making a habit of checking the progress of initiatives at least quarterly, and by course-correcting any teams you think are not contributing enough or not in the correct way, real progress will be make and initiative will be completed in time.
